In addition to doing our best to give high-standard service to our \u00e0 la carte guests, we provide an excellent venue for company and family events and celebrations. A total of 130 persons can be seated indoors.<br \/>\nThe atmospheric, more than 100-year-old stone building seats 50 guests and the glass winter garden built in 2001 seats 80 persons.<br \/>\nThe Jardinette restaurant is no ordinary event venue. It took its name, which means \u2018little garden\u2019, from its beautiful garden surounded and shaded by giant chestnut trees, where a further 70 guests can be seated, who can enjoy the natural scenery from spring to autumn.<br \/>\nThe restaurant\u2019s small, rustic wine cellar ia also worth a visit, something of a rarity as far as event venues go in the heart of Budapest. It seats 15 persons, where wine, p\u00e1linka or cheese tastings can be organised for our guests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jardinette has a long history. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some 150 years ago this was the preferred resting spot for those transporting water barrels by donkies from the Danube. Hence the name that was given at the time for the restaurant the Sz\u00fcrke Csacsi (The Grey Donkey).<br \/>\nThe new owner P\u00e9ter K\u00e1lm\u00e1n realized that a name like Jardinette would be ideal, projecting a \u201eJoie de vivre\u201d feeling with the fragrance of spring flowers and the cool summer shade casted by the large trees.<br \/>\nThe word \u201cgood\u201d is a relative term perceived differently by each individual. We may have found a way to offer the best to our customers. Good hospitality requires: caring, a pleasant, friendly, family environment with savoury food.
